We travelled to Grindon today looking to continue the 9 match unbeaten run in the league.
A great start when after 5 minutes a high ball in to the box was brilliantly controlled by Darren Henry to set up MIKE APPLEYARD to give us the lead.
Further joy on 10 minutes when Paul Neesams superb free kick in to the box was headed home by PAUL GETTINGS.
The home side were all over the place at this stage with us well on top. Not sure if we took our foot off the gas but we allowed them to get a cross in from the right and thay scored with header from six yards.
Unbeleiveably , they scored an identical goal 10 minutes later to level the scores at half time.

HALF TIME - GRINDON & BROADWAY  2 REDCAR NEWMARKET  2 

The second half was more of a battle as they had a breeze and a slight slope in their favour.
At times we had to dig deep and it was backs to the wall in the closing minutes, but great character and we ground out the draw which in the end was probably a fair result.
